Greetings from The Dutch Farmer!
I was standing in line at the grocery store a while back, and picked up one of the little magazines to read while I waited. Being a commodities trader and a farmer, I of course picked up one of the several almanacs--supposedly for farmers--that you can find on bookstands from coast to coast.
For farmers?
Hey, that’s no almanac for any farmers I know! Not even my Dad, who came over from the old country in 1929 and farmed in Minnesota his whole life. And Dad was one heck of a farmer all those years. He did all right.
So here’s my version, The Dutch Farmer’s Almanac...for farmers who actually want to make money. Dad, this one’s for you.
Sincerely,
Alan Kluis
