The Life of a Commodity Trader
I have loved trading commodities since the day I began, in early 1976, when I was a young pup fresh out of college.

It hasn't always been easy. Remember the Carter grain embargo of 1980, the drought of 1988, and the super-bearish years of 1986 and 1999? Very tough. But I'm still here, doing better than ever, and applying everything I've learned to today's very, very exciting markets.

I do several things each day: I trade, for myself and for a limited number of private clients. I write, about trading and marketing, for readers of Successful Farming Magazine. I also write for the readers of my own newsletter, called "Kluis News." (All this writing sounds like work, but it's actually been a great way to help myself think through what's happening in the markets. I recommend it!)

I also talk with a select group of young brokers, my new "Affiliates".

And now, starting just last year, I also spend time working on my two new publications. One is the Kluis Calendar. Read more about that here. I hope you own one and look at it every day to help you think about the markets. I know I do.

My other new publication is The Dutch Farmers Almanac. If you produce, use, or trade commodities, you're going to want one of each.

If you would like more information about working with my Affiliates, subscribing to my newsletter, or getting your hands on one of my new publications, click on one of the tabs above. You can also call 1-877-388-2432, or talk to me at a conference or seminar. Please note that in 2008 I will be doing only a limited number of seminars.
